» What types of
training do your psychotherapists have?
All of the psychotherapists with Cornerstone
have completed Master's degrees in either Professioinal
Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Along with their standard degree work, many
of our staff also took specializations in specific
fields such as Child & Adolescent Therapy, Christian
Sex Therapy, or Spirituality in Counseling.
Many of our staff have also done extensive training
independently, through conferences and specialized
supervision.
» How are your psychotherapists
licensed?
All of our therapists are licensed as professional
counselors (LPC's) or licensed associate professional
counselors (LAPC's). All of our psychotherapists work
together as a team under the clinical direction of
Richard Blankenship.
» Is Cornerstone a "Christian counseling"
practice?
As professionals, we desire to be upfront and
honest in how we present ourselves. Currently,
all of our staff are professing Christians and
see their see their work within the context
of their faith. However, we at Cornerstone believe
strongly in the autonomy our clients in regards
to all aspects of their lives, including their
faith and values. We at Cornerstone encourage
people of any faith who desire help to come
to us knowing that you and your values will
be respected. And if a value conflict does arise
where our psychotherapists cannot accommodate
you, Cornerstone will seek to provide an outside
referral of the highest quality that can provide
service within a compatible value system.
» What does a session cost?
Prices for sessions vary with each psychotherapist.
Some work on a sliding fee scale based on a
client's income while others have set fees.
Talk with your individual psychotherapist about
prices.
» Do you take Insurance?
Though we do not take third-party payments at
this time, Cornerstone will provide billing
receipts with information, as appropriate, to
our clients who may in turn seek reimbursement
from their insurance provider. |
